DEUBOUR is an apparel brand that advocates the antithesis of fashion with the question, "What really is a brand?"

We produced items that will be worn universally for a long time without any compromise. We have realized what we consider to be the "optimal solution for clothes".

 

DEUBOUR(デュボア)は「ブランドとはなにか？」「サスティナブルとはなにか？」という問いかけをもって、流行へのアンチテーゼを唱えるアパレルブランドです。

長く、普遍的に着るアイテムを、一切の妥協なしで手掛けています。私たちの考える「服の最適解」を実現しました。

 

DEUBOUR's philosophy

No matter how much recycled materials are used and how eco-friendly the manufacturing method is, it does not matter if the item has a short lifespan.

Those can only be worn during a specific season. Or the material is so weak that it loses its shape after a few washes. So-called "fashion" is a word that is at odds with "sustainable".

DEUBOUR does not tolerate this contradiction. We only deliver items that can be worn sustainably for years to come, without being influenced by fashion trends.

The items we offer are the ultimate apparel that we ourselves want, that we are not ashamed of, and that we consider to be good.

 

サスティナビリティを掲げるファッションブランドが、いかにリサイクル素材を使って、製造方法をエコにしても、そのアイテムの寿命が短ければ意味はありません。

特定のシーズンでしか着られない、素材が弱くて数回洗濯しただけで型が崩れてしまう。いわゆる「ファッション」は、サスティナブルと相反する言葉なのです。

DEUBOURはその矛盾を許しません。私たちは流行＝ファッションに左右されない、何年も継続(Sustain)して着られるアイテムだけをお届けします。

そして私たちの提案するアイテムは、私たち自身が欲しい、恥ずかしくない、良いものだ、と考え抜いた、究極のアパレルです。

After working for world-famous fashion brands and collecting numerous fashion items, he gained a multifaceted perspective on fashion. The answer from this experience became the philosophy of "DEUBOUR".

世界的なファッションブランドでの勤務、そして数々のファッションアイテムの収集を経て、ファッションに対しての多角的な視点を得る。そこから生み出した1つの答えが「DEUBOUR」の理念となった。

 

レイ＝I・ヤマシタ

After graduating from engineering school in New Zealand, he entered Keio University in Japan. He studied economics and environmental studies and questioned the state of the modern clothing industry.
ニュージーランドの工科学校を卒業し、日本の慶應義塾大学に入学。経済学と環境学を学び、現代の被服産業のあり方に疑問を抱く。

DEUBOUR shares the same aspirations as the artist "ILLMAN".

This capsule collaboration began when founder YOSHI discovered ILLMAN's street art in Shibuya and became a patron.

At first glance, they seem to be looking in completely opposite directions, but both of them had a single certain goal...
